Maggie Bruen Hames has an MFA from Columbia University’s film school where she won (among other awards) Best Dramatic Screenplay and was twice honored at Columbia’s Faculty Selects. She also has an MA in Communications from New York University. Her thesis project on film pioneer William Laurie Dickson was presented at conferences in New York and Los Angeles. She started her film career in documentaries and is currently a screenwriter and film producer. She recently won a CLIO, Silver Sabre, and Big Apple Award.
