“The study abroad experience opened up my eyes; it was definitely a life changing event for me.”
About
I went to Rome, Italy for my study abroad semester in spring. As a business student, I chose to study Globalization and Macroeconomics. I also took Photography and Italian classes to enrich my Roman experience. Although I had mentally prepared myself for a culture shock, I still needed to make an effort to adapt to a new environment. That was the fun part of the study abroad experience, as I got to live the real Roman lifestyle: tasting the most authentic Italian cuisine and talking to people with completely different cultural backgrounds about almost everything. I also took the opportunity to travel around Europe in my spare time.
