Throughout a sunny weekend in early June, three members of the MMC community joined Upper East Side neighbors for a two-day art and music fair on 91st Street. The event was sponsored by “City Canvas,” a new initiative organized by Manhattan Community Board 8 to celebrate the reemergence and “reawakening” of New York City after nearly 15 months since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

For many college students, an internship is a quintessential component to their undergraduate experience. But what happens when a global pandemic alters the way most companies and organizations operate? How do students gain professional experience from home? Hear from several MMC students about their experiences as interns during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as from the Office of Career Services which oversees the process.
