With its debut in August, the 12,000-square-foot Judith Mara Carson Center for Visual Arts—known affectionately as The Judy—became the largest capital construction initiative the College has completed in nearly 15 years. But it’s not the only exciting change you’ll see on campus this semester.

MMC Biology Professor Matt Lundquist, Ph.D., and alums Madison Weisend ’20 and Hope Kenmore ’20 recently co-published a research paper in the peer-reviewed journal Urban Forestry & Urban Greening. The paper “Insect biodiversity in urban tree pit habitats” was the culmination of a faculty-student collaborative project examining the biodiversity of insects within street tree pit habitats in Manhattan.

Homecoming Weekend: We came, we saw, we ate all the apple donuts we could eat! These annual gatherings are always a blast for our community. And the best part about MMC’s annual kickball game? As one alum put it, we never lose because we always play ourselves!
