MI RICORDO: ROMAN WATERCOLORS

Mi Ricordo: Roman Watercolors is an exhibition of seven paintings by Hallie Cohen produced at the American Academy in Rome in the Visiting Artists and Scholars program. These 12-foot x 5-foot ink paintings constitute an ambitious and immersive body of work dealing with memory and subjective experience. 
Exhibition runs February 26 - May 1, 2024

Math Professor Presents at the International Conference on Meson Nucleon Physics in Mainz, Germany

Lia Leon Margolin, Ph.D., associate professor and chair of the Department of Mathematics, presented the talk Antisymmetrization of The Wave Functions Consisting of Spin-Isospin and Hyperspherical Parts at the 16th International Conference on Meson-Nucleon Physics and the Structure of the Nucleon (MENU 2023). The conference was held on October 16-20, 2023, by the Institute for Nuclear Physics at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, Germany.

Every year, the Mathematics department holds a College-wide π-Day contest. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to submit an original sentence, paragraph, poem, or short story that uses the digits of π in order (π ≈ 3.1415926..).
