This event is presented by the Office of Career and Professional Development, the Counseling and Wellness Center, the Office of Student Development and Activities, and the Intercultural Center.

Location: The Regina Peruggi Room (2nd Floor, Carson Hall)

Nava Silton, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Psychology at MMC, will dive into the basics of Emotional Intelligence. Christine Gregory, Esq. will discuss her experience using Emotional Intelligence to build her company, Harmony Global Foods. 

A lunch of Panera Sandwiches and Salads will be provided for those who register for and attend the Keynote presentation.

    1. Got a Story to Tell? by Hayden Greene 
    Location: Carson Hall 509
    Each of us has a stroy to tell and encapsulated in them are our identities. Come hear Hayden’s story and learn how YOUR story tells the world all about who you really are.

    2. Making an Impact through Compassionate Leadership by Shefalika Gandhi, LCSW
    Location: Carson Hall 505

    A mindfulness workshop to learn ways to strengthen physical and emotional resilience.

    3. Radical Acceptance by Mark Cutolo, LCSW
    Location: Carson Hall 510

    Our lives don’t always go according to plan, which can lead to fear, worry, and uncertainty. This workshop will focus on how practicing radical acceptance can help us to feel better, manage our emotions, and promote change in our lives.

  • Option 2: Improvolution Session (Improv Workshop - Full Hour)

    Location: The Regina Peruggi Room (2nd Floor, Carson Hall)

    Improvolution is an Improv School based in New York City. They teach classes as well as Improv Trainings for schools and companies across the country. Join this session to work on your improv skills, strengthen your ability to communicate, and learn to build relationships using Emotional Intelligence on the fly!

    If you choose this breakout session, you will not attend another session during this time frame. This workshop is a full hour. There is a cap of 25 students for this session.

2:15PM - 3:15PM: SGA Open Forum  |  Register Here

Location: The Regina Peruggi Room (2nd Floor, Carson Hall)
The Student Government Association (SGA) will host an Open Forum to hear questions, comments, and concerns from the student body.
