Dow Zanghi Student Health Center

The Dow Zanghi Student Health Center provides primary medical care to Marymount Manhattan students. The Center is staffed by a physician assistant and a medical assistant. It is operated by Mount Sinai Beth Israel/Student Health Services Network in partnership with the College.

All students, including commuters and those living at the other MMC residence halls, may use the Health Center free of charge with a current MMC identification card.

Services include:

  • Diagnosis and treatment
  • Follow-up and evaluation
  • Blood-draw*
  • Health education
  • Writing prescriptions*
  • Flu shots*
  • Referrals

*Lab work, prescriptions and some immunizations, such as the MMR Vaccines or flu shots, have fees associated. These fees may be charged back to the student’s health insurance company.

Students may call the Health Center at 212-759-5870 to make an appointment, or walk in during hours of operation.

After hours, for urgent medical issues, students can call the Mount Sinai Beth Israel physicians triage on-call number: 212-420-2882.

  • Nicole Barry
    Medical Assistant

    Nicole Barry is currently the medical assistant at the Dow Zanghi Student Health center. She graduated with her certification in medical assisting in 2006 from Sanford Brown Institute and completed her externship at Beth Israel’s Phillips Ambulatory Care Center. Ms. Barry has worked at Baruch College Student Health Center as well from 2007-2010 and is currently completing an A.S. in Liberal Arts & Science in preparation for becoming a Registered Nurse in the future.

  • Valine Puntiel
    Physician Assistant

    Valine Dieudonne Puntiel is currently the Physician Assistant at the Dow Zanghi Student Health Center. Valine graduated from St. John’s University in 2008 with a BS and Certification in Physician Assistant Studies. She has experience working in Pediatric Primary Care, Cardiac Catheterization & Electrophysiology, OBGYN and Occupational Health.
