MMC Connect website won’t load and my registration timeslot has started

Have you tried going on MMC Connect using a different browser (e.g., Firefox or Chrome)

Why won’t the system allow me to register for Math 113?

Students need MATH 109 or the MATH 109 exemption. If you feel that you should have a waiver, please reach out to Placement@mmm.edu to confirm your status and sign up to take placement test to try to waive out of Math 109.

Why won’t the system let me register for two courses when they do not overlap in time?

Some classes especially in THTR and BIOL have extra class meeting times such as hours for studio, production, or recitation / labs, etc. You will not be able to register for these classes on MMC Connect. For THTR classes such as THTR 110, 240/340/440 (Practicum), you need to submit a program change (PC) form. The Division Chair must approve the form. If the program change form is approved, a student service representative or registrar staff will process your program change form and override the time conflict.

I have received a message saying my course is not available for this registration period?

Students should refer to the course bulletin for accurate course and section numbers. For example, if the bulletin lists COMM 227 OL01, students need to enter the section numbers as OL01 - (letter O, letter L, zero, 1). Same for Blended sections, BL01 - enter BL01 - (letter B, letter L, zero, 1)

The system is saying that my course is not available for this registration period

Section numbers are at least 2 characters in length. Consult the course bulletin for the section number (e.g. 01, 02, OL01 etc) when entering 01 make sure you enter -zero 1 not alpha O, 1

I selected the courses I want on Express Registration, but I can’t submit my registration

On the Register and Drop menu, make sure you do not have “Register” in both areas. Top Area (under your name) Action for all PREF sections (or Choose Below): Leave a Blank Field in the Dropdown Box, if you select “Register” for each course under “Action” below the Preferred Sections Area - Or choose “RG” in Action for all PREF sections (or Choose Below): and leave blank fields under “Action” next to all your classes. Do not select “Register” in both the Top Area and under the “Preferred Sections” area

The system is indicating I have not been advised (HBA), but I met with my advisor during advisement day.

Your faculty advisor needs to place an “HBA” on your account. Contact your advisor or the administrative assistant of that area and request that an HBA be added to your account. 2) If you have a copy of your registration agreement form with your advisor’s approval, email a copy to the Office of Student Success Advising at advisement@mmm.edu. An advisor will add the HBA on behalf of your faculty advisor.

MMC Connect is not letting me register because it is saying I have restrictions:

To find out what restrictions you have, go to Student Restrictions/Clearances under “Financial Information” or “Academic Profile” on MMC Connect. For “AR” holds, contact the Center for Student Services at css@mmm.edu or 212-517-0500. For “RG”/”CT” holds, contact the Office of the Registrar at registrar@mmm.edu.

I am trying to repeat a class I received a “D” grade in but the system won’t let me register

Students cannot register into a class in which they received a prior “D” grade without special permission. You need to submit a program change form to add the class. Locate the program change form on the student portal and send the form to the Office of Student Success Advising for approval. If approved, the form will be sent to a student service representative or registrar staff for processing.

It seems like my class is open but the system will not let me register.

MMC offers classes that may be cross-listed with another department. It may seem like the class is open but since it is a cross-listed class, the class has reached full capacity. We recommend you check the course bulletin and view the course status (e.g., open, full).

I am trying to register for a course but my screen indicates I am missing a requirement that I think I’m taking.

Check the course bulletin for the full listing of pre or co-requisite requirements. For example, for ECO 217 01, not only WRIT 102 or 201 is required but also ECO 210 or ECO 213. We recommend you register for an alternate course or submit a prerequisite waiver form on the Student Portal to the appropriate chair. The Student Success Advisement Team or your Academic Advisor can assist you with locating the right person to request the info. From.

The system won’t let me take 2 classes in the January session.

The maximum credit load for January is 4 credits. You can request a course overload by submitting a course overload form. Go to the Student Portal and click on Course overload request under the forms section.

I’m trying to register for CHEM 235 01. The system is saying I need to register for the co-requisite CHEM 236

We recommend you try again and change the sequence. This time, try adding CHEM 236 01 first and then add CHEM 235.

I’m trying to register for my musical theatre classes. - THTR 331 01. The system is saying I need to register for THTR DDF and THTR PVF. What for?

Musical Theatre classes have Daily Dance (DDF) and Private Voice (PVF) fees. We recommend you try again. This time, add THTR DDF 01, then THTR PVF 01, and then add THTR 331 01.

I’m trying to add myself to the waitlist, but the system is saying the waitlist is full.

There is a maximum number of seats for the waitlist. If you receive a notice that the waitlist is full, you do not have the ability to add yourself to the waitlist on MMC Connect.

The system is saying I need the prerequisites for a course I’m trying to register for, but my advisor said it was “ok” to get into the class.

If you do not have prerequisites for a class and would like to request a waiver, you must submit a prerequisite waiver form. Go to: https://www.mmm.edu/offices/academic-advisement/academic-advisement-forms.php. Click on the “Pre-req waiver” link under the “Planning and Scheduling Forms” section. If the form is approved, a student service representative or registrar staff will process the registration into the class, if the class is available or causes no other time conflicts.

I am an international Student on an F-1 visa. The system won’t let me finish my registration because I can only get into 3 classes – 9 credits.

International students on an F-1 visa are required to be full-time (minimum 12 credits). If you are registering for less than 12 credits because you are on the waitlist for the 4 th class or require a prerequisite waiver, you will not be able to register on MMC Connect(WebAdvisor). We recommend you complete a Registration Agreement Form on the student portal. You can send the registration form to the Center for Student Services at css@mmm.edu or the Office of the Registrar at registrar.mmm.edu. A staff member will manually process your registration barring any registration issues (e.g. class is closed, time conflict, missing HBA clearance, pre-requisites have not been met, etc).

I cannot access the Student Account Suite link (showing blank page) to view my tuition bill.

Try using a desktop or laptop and not a mobile device. The Student Account Suite link is not compatible with a mobile device.
