Commencement FAQs

Update: April, 2022: Each graduate can select up to eight guest seats. 

January 10, 2022: We are planning for each graduate to receive a minimum of four guest tickets for the May 22, 2022 Commencement ceremony. We hope this number will increase, but must monitor a variety of factors including the number of graduates (Graduates: Please submit your Graduation Application!) and COVID-19 guidelines before providing a final number of tickets available to each graduate. Graduates participating in the ceremony do not require a ticket. Please note: According to current NYC guidelines for theatres, all graduates and guests must provide proof of vaccination to enter United Palace and will need to be masked for the duration of the event.

Proof of vaccination is not required at this time.  Masks are encouraged.  As a reminder, United Palace must follow guidelines for NYC theatres, so this may change should local guidelines be updated.  

 

Graduates will be provided a code at Packet Pick-Up on April 26-27, 2022. They will be able to electronically select guest seats with the code during the seat selection window (April 29 - May 6). Tickets are electronic only. 

Students who are cleared for graduation can arrange for a family/friend to pick up their Commencement Packet by completing the Commencement Packet Pick-up Proxy Request form. 

MMC is working with United Palace to explore options for live-streaming. Note: We cannot guarantee this option will be available.  

Accessible seating is available. If you need accessible seating, two people in your party can be seated together, and the others must select separate seats. If any guests or graduating students require special accommodations, please inform the Student Life office by calling 212-774-0750 or emailing graduation@mmm.edu.

The ticket vendor used by United Palace, Boletos Express, has standard wording on the tickets that cannot be edited for our event.  There is no charge for tickets and no photo ID will be necessary for guest entry.
