Commencement FAQs
Students can expect to receive (6) six guest tickets this year; however the final number of commencement tickets each student receives will be based on a number of factors, including the total number of graduates. (Grads: Please submit your Graduation Application!) Graduates participating in the ceremony do not require a ticket.
Graduates will be provided a code at Commencement Packet Pick-Up in April. They will be able to electronically select guest seats with the code starting at noon on May 1. Tickets are electronic only.
Students who are cleared for graduation can arrange for a family/friend to pick up their Commencement Packet by completing the Commencement Packet Pick-up Proxy Request form. Please email graduation@mmm.edu for the form.
The Commencement Ceremony will be live-streamed. A link will be sent the week prior to the Commencement day.
Accessible seating is available. If a guest in your party needs seating accommodations, graduates can complete the Commencement Special Accomodations form.
Note: Guests who will be seated in a wheelchair for the ceremony will be seated with one companion on the Upper Loge level. If you choose for our ticketing team to select your entire party’s seating, every effort will be made to seat additional guests near the wheelchair seating, but this is not guaranteed.
For additional questions, contact Student Life by calling 212-774-0750 or emailing graduation@mmm.edu.
The ticket vendor used by United Palace, Boletos Express, has standard wording on the tickets that cannot be edited for our event. There is no charge for tickets and no photo ID will be necessary for guest entry.
Please contact Boletos Express directly: 212-568-6600 or email: support@boletosexpress.com.
If you need assistance with wheelchair or accessible seating, please email graduation@mmm.edu.
Children over the age of 3 must have a guest ticket to enter the United Palace Theatre.
All students applying to graduate must pay the graduation fee, regardless if they are participating in the Commencement ceremony. The fee contributes to the costs for your regalia, the diploma, diploma shipping, diploma cover, and other expenses associated with Commencement and senior-related activities. This is a one-time fee that is non-refundable.
Proof of vaccination is not required at this time. As a reminder, United Palace must follow guidelines for NYC theatres, so this may change should local guidelines be updated.
The ceremony will last just under two hours.
Strollers are discouraged, though UP understands some folks will need to bring them. UP will have guests stow their strollers in the lobby. UP is not responsible for lost or damaged items.
