COVID-19 Dashboard

The College is closely following expert national and international information regarding the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and is acting proactively to protect the health and safety of the community. MMC’s new COVID-19 Dashboard is a source of information for our community, combining information from multiple sources to illustrate and track the impact of the pandemic. Information on this page will be updated regularly.

Contact Tracing

The College has identified a cadre of Marymount Manhattan College employees, who have all taken the Johns Hopkins Coursera Course for contact tracing, to provide contact tracing within the MMC campus community, on Main Campus, and in the MMC Residence Halls. If a case of COVID-19 is confirmed on campus or within the MMC campus community, MMC Contact Tracers will inform NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYCDOHMH). To the extent possible, Contact Tracers will work with the NYC DOHMH to conduct contact tracing.

Contact Tracers will conduct contact tracing to help identify:
  • MMC facilities that may require cleaning and disinfection after a confirmed case has been identified; and
  • “Close contacts” (as defined by the CDC) of the confirmed case. Close contact is defined as the proximity of 6 feet or closer for at least 15 minutes with a person who tests positive.

Additionally, Contact Tracers will seek out the help of NYC DOHMH (to the extent possible) to determine what, if any, community transmission has been identified and whether MMC can continue to contain/manage confirmed case(s) within their own facilities.

Notification, Quarantine, Isolation and Tracing

In the event of a confirmed case of COVID-19, the College will follow contact tracing and notification protocols as directed by local and state health authorities. Details of the notification and contact tracing protocols can be found in our COVID-19 Reopening Plan. Residential students can learn more about the College’s quarantine and isolation policies by reviewing the Residential Wellness Pledge
