Upper East Side Walking Tour
Meet at MMC’s 71st Street Entrance

MMC’s very own archivist, Mary Brown, leads you on a 45-minute tour to learn how MMC takes advantage of its New York City location. You will see everything from brownstones and mansions to shops and transportation routes, as well as architectural gems and sites of historic interest.

Field Day & Flag Football

Pony Field, Roosevelt Island

A fun-filled afternoon of entertainment, including a scrimmage game of flag-football with students and alumni, music by DJ Hamilton, and a performance by Brooklyn United Marching Band. Bring friends, family, and little ones to enjoy a host of fun games, music, food, and activities for all ages. 

Buses to Pony Field will depart at 10:30 am from the 72nd Street Entrance and the 55th Street Residence Hall. The buses will provide transportation to Pony Field and will board for the return journey at 12:45 pm. Seating is limited with one bus leaving from and returning to each location.

Join Jason Rosenfeld, MMC’s Distinguished Chair and Professor of Art History, on a tour of some of the neighborhood’s most renowned art galleries.

Join Patricia Simon, Associate Professor of Theatre Arts and Director of the Musical Theatre Program, for an inside look at breaking into the musical theatre industry.

On The Town is a classic, war-time musical told through the lens of three out-of-town sailors and three early-career women, whose experiences and interactions are shaped by the sights and sounds of New York City. Tickets are currently SOLD OUT for this event. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door prior to scheduled show time for $10 each (cash only). All MMC students, faculty, and staff tickets are free with a valid MMC ID. Box office will open 1 hour prior to each scheduled show time for wait list sign-ups. Available wait list tickets will be handed out 10 minutes prior to scheduled show time.

This Dean’s List Ceremony recognizes students in the Fine and Performing Arts who achieved a superior level of academic success in the 2017–18 academic year, and therefore earned Dean’s List honors. Students in Business, Communication and Media Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Sciences are recognized at a separate ceremony (see below).
